Turn One-Time Buyers into Subscribers, Right Inside the Cart
CornerCart surfaces a subscription upgrade prompt directly below every eligible line item, letting customers switch from a one-time purchase to a recurring subscription with a single click — without leaving the cart.
Automatic detection, zero configuration
Automatic Detection
CornerCart automatically detects which products in the cart have a subscription selling plan available. No per-product configuration needed. If a product is eligible, the upgrade button appears beneath it.

One-Click Upgrade
An "Upgrade to Subscription" button appears below each eligible line item. Customers tap once to switch, and the item converts to a recurring subscription with no page reload or navigation away from the cart.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about subscription upsells in the cart.
Which subscription apps does this work with?
Any subscription app that uses Shopify's native subscription API, including Recharge, Skio, Stay AI, Loop, and any other app built on Shopify's selling plans infrastructure.
How does CornerCart know which products to show the upgrade button for?
It automatically detects products in the cart with a Shopify selling plan attached. No manual setup per product in CornerCart. Eligibility is driven entirely by your subscription app configuration in Shopify.
What does the upgrade UI look like?
A button appears below the eligible line item in the cart. Tapping it converts the item from a one-time purchase to a subscription in a single click, with no page reload.
Does the price update when a customer upgrades?
Yes. The line item price in the cart updates immediately to reflect the subscription rate, including any subscriber discount. Customers see the new price before they head to checkout.
Can customers choose their subscription frequency in the cart?
Yes. If the product has multiple delivery intervals, customers can change their preferred frequency directly in the cart after upgrading.
Is this always on, or can I target it to specific customers?
The upgrade button is a cart-wide feature and appears automatically for all eligible products. Campaign-based targeting is not yet available for this feature.
What if a customer changes their mind after upgrading?
They can switch back to a one-time purchase by removing the item and re-adding it, or by using the frequency and plan controls in the cart if available.
