How does CornerCart know which products to recommend?
It reads the complementary product relationships you set up in Shopify's Search & Discovery app. CornerCart does not generate its own recommendations. Your Search & Discovery configuration is the single source of truth.
Where do the recommendations appear in the cart?
Below all line items in the cart drawer, as a horizontally scrollable row of product cards.
What determines the order of recommendations?
The last item added to the cart. As the cart changes, suggestions refresh to reflect the most recently added product.
What if I haven't set up related products in Search & Discovery?
The recommendations block hides itself automatically. It only appears when at least one product in the cart has related items configured in Search & Discovery.
How many recommended products are shown?
That's configurable in CornerCart's settings. You set the maximum count based on how prominent you want the block to be.
What happens if a recommended product has multiple variants?
A variant picker appears so the customer can select the right option before adding to cart. Single-variant products add instantly with one tap.
Can I offer recommended products at a discount?
Not currently. Recommended products are shown and added at their standard Shopify price.
Is this the same as the one click upsell feature?
No. One click upsells are campaign-based and appear just above the checkout button, where you manually specify a single upsell product per campaign with precise targeting. Product recommendations are a cart-wide feature that pulls from your Search & Discovery relationships and shows a scrollable set of suggestions below the line items.
